To Marantz Friends and Family,

Like many of you, I was introduced to Marantz as a child by my dad. When a favourite song would play on our car radio, my dad would immediately begin to describe his love of great sound and his admiration for Marantz. As a young impressionable child, I was enamored by his tone, which carried with it a sort of mythology. He talked as if a Marantz was not merely a conduit for music but the source of all sound.

I’ve worked in the performance and luxury audio industry for 20 years, and I’m fortunate to have been a custodian of Marantz since 2017 when we acquired it. Naturally, the closer I get to Marantz (the brand), the more I feel connected to Saul Marantz’ original mission from 1953 ­— the most realistic reproduction of sound. In the decades since Saul founded his namesake company, the Marantz manifestation of perfect sound has captivated hi-fi and cinema enthusiasts all over the world.

The history of Marantz is rich with genre-defining, stand-out pieces. Stemming from Saul’s first Audio Consolette, each new iteration has expressed a meticulous improvement over time. Several factors influence our product evolution: advancements in technology, the judgment of our acoustic artisans, and the progression of music and film. Underlying all of this is passion and the highest standards for sound quality.

Our ‘north star’ strategy is quite simple; to fortify Marantz in its rightful place as one of the world’s most iconic and revered brands by delivering only the very best end-product – the most realistic reproduction of sound. Our work is exceptionally challenging; brand legacy and global complexities have that effect. While we may not get everything right, trust that we are seeking improvement every single day.

The latest CINEMA collection is building on the Marantz legacy in performance film and TV, honoring filmmakers and content creators with state-of-the-art features, remarkable advancements in sound quality, and industrial design that will look beautiful in any home for years to come. We’re proud of the latest Marantz pieces and hope you are equally proud to present them in your home.

Believe it or not, we’re still in the early stages of strategy execution. What’s more, our new parent company, Masimo, is founded and led by true innovators and pioneers, which means that the best days of Marantz lie ahead.
